Principal's Message
Welcome Back New and Returning Fulton & Alsbury Nighthawks,
I am hoping everyone had a great Summer and had time to relax and have fun. I am looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year with our school community having greater successes and achievements this new year. Together, we will all continue to learn, grow and work together as a TEAM to do and be the very best we can. We are all very proud of our amazing Nighthawks!!
To all of our new students and families, we are happy you are with us! I know it can feel challenging to be the “new kid” at a “new school” and may be feeling a little nervous wanting to make a good first impression, and start the year off right. I am here to assure you all that everyone at Fulton and Alsbury will make you feel welcomed and embraced on the very first day. This is our commitment to you. You belong here and we welcome you with open arms to the 2025-2026 school year at Fulton and Alsbury.
I am also excited to announce the following “new” staff members at Fulton and Alsbury this year. Please join me in extending them a warm Nighthawk welcome and be sure to say hello and introduce yourselves as you see them “out and about” on campus.
NEW STAFF
6th grade Math, Science and Engineering teacher - Jared Gates
School Psychologist - Sandy Vargas
Speech & Language Pathologist - Carolyn Winchell
School begins at 8:00am and ends at 12:47pm, on minimum days (Tuesday) and begins at 8:00am and ends at 2:47pm on regular days (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays). Gates will open up at 7:30am daily. The warning bell will be at 7:55am with the entry gate closing at 8:00am. No parents will be allowed passed the entry gate with their child.
My vision continues to be to create and foster an environment of learning that focuses on the different ways our students can have a better understanding of how science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) play a crucial part in their current world as well as facilitating a development of necessary skills to be successful in life especially if following a career path that is related to different STEAM fields.
Our goal is to teach our students a love for STEAM and create that mindset that STEAM is not only cool to learn but also important to our future as we continue to develop as a society. Investing in our youth is the key to our future. Providing and teaching them the necessary academic and social skills to help them develop into contributing members of society continues to be my mission for all our students. Our students can achieve anything they set their mind to. We will teach them to never give up and that they are the masters of their own destiny. They just need self-confidence and the knowledge that we believe in them.
Through our continued guidance and support, our students will shine as their success is our success. We all impact one another and therefore have a duty and responsibility to each other and our community as a whole.
In hopes of keeping an open line of communication, weekly updates on school information, events and activities will be sent to our families through various means such as ParentSquare, Facebook, Instagram, our school website and email. Please visit our school website to access our school schedule, school resources and information, and learn about other opportunities at Fulton and Alsbury.
Let’s collectively agree and do everything we can to start this 2025-2026 academic school year the best way we can!! Welcome Back, Fulton and Alsbury Nighthawks!
Respectfully,
Marcello E. Palacios
